Jingle Bell LEAP 5K
The Jingle Bell LEAP is an out and back 5K run and walk held on December 12, 2026, beginning at mile 0 of the American Tobacco Trail at Morehead Avenue and Blackwell Street in Durham, North Carolina. The start area is listed at the Miracle League Field, 473 Morehead Ave.
The event includes an in-person 5K that is chip timed, a virtual 5K option that allows participants to run, walk, or bike on their own, and a youth 5K for ages 12 and under. The virtual entry does not include a t-shirt. Published registration fees are $30 for the in-person 5K, $25 for the virtual 5K, and $20 for the youth 5K.
Pre-race packet pickup is available at the LEAP School on Friday, December 11. On-course amenities include a water station. Bagels and bananas are provided at the start and at the finish. Street parking is available on Blackwell Street and in the lots off Jackie Robinson Boulevard next to Mellow Mushroom.
The event supports the Latino Educational Achievement Partnership, which provides bilingual pre-K education and tutoring for elementary and middle school students. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
