LECOM 5K Run the Green Bridge
The LECOM 5K Run the Green Bridge is a community run/walk held in Bradenton, Florida. The 2026 edition takes place on February 21, 2026 at 1405 4th Ave W. The event has been held since 2013 and raises funds for the LECOM Student Scholarship Fund.
Event details
The course runs across the Green Bridge and returns to finish along the Bradenton Riverwalk. The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K - Virtual
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Registration packages include items such as a bib with timing chip, finisher's medal, and food and drinks on race day. A T-shirt is included with some registrations; registrants who register by January 31 are guaranteed a race T-shirt. Slim Chicken's provides free food for participants. All finishers receive participation medals. Overall male and female results are based on gun time. Age-group awards (1st–3rd) are based on chip time in the listed divisions: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Sponsors include the Pittsburgh Pirates and TrueLearn.
