Run the Course 5K : Howey-in-the-Hills
Run the Course 5K is held at Mission Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, using the historic 1917 El Campeon golf course as the race route. The on-site course follows fairways and paths through oak-lined scenery and Mediterranean-style resort grounds, featuring notable elevation changes of about 85 feet and undulating terrain.
The event includes both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. Race entry for the in-person 5K includes a custom finisher’s medal, an official race shirt, professional timing, and post-race breakfast sandwiches and beverages. Entry fees listed are $40 for the in-person 5K and $45 for the virtual option. Registration windows are specified by the organizer for each option.
Packet pick-up takes place at the Mission Resort and Club Club House inside the golf club house on the day before the race. Race day registration is available online until just before the race start if the event is not sold out; there is no on-site paper registration.
Strollers are permitted with runners asked to start near the back. Pets are not allowed on the course; service animals are permitted with advance notice. Awards recognize top overall finishers, masters, and age group podiums across ten-year age categories from 19 and under through 70 and over.
