About the race
Run the Bluff is the 4th Annual community fundraiser held at the East Bluff Community Center in Peoria, Illinois. The event includes a chip timed 5K race and a 1 mile walk that take place on a course that starts and finishes at the community center and goes through the East Bluff neighborhood.
Distances include:
- 5K Run (chip timed)
- 1 Mile Walk (untimed)
The event benefits the East Bluff Community Center. The center provides neighborhood services including youth activities, a food pantry, and community-building events. Timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing and the event is organized by the East Bluff Community Center.
The race is followed by a pancake breakfast and an award ceremony. Awards include overall top male and female by gun time and age-group awards for top male and female in these groups: 18 & under, 19-39, 40-59, and 60 & over. Registration includes student categories and a support-the-cause option that can include a race shirt; shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants.
