Run That Shall Not Be Named 5K : Kent, Ohio
The ninth annual Run That Shall Not Be Named event takes place on July 18, 2026 at Fred Fuller Park in Kent, Ohio. The program includes a main 5K race and a separate kids fun run for ages 12 and under. The 5K follows a spellbinding loop through the park and Forbidden Forest area, with most of the course on the bike trail along the river.

The 5K is hosted by Kent Parks and Recreation and will be chip timed, with awards given to top finishers. 5K participants receive a commemorative bib, t-shirt, and medal. Kids fun run participants receive a race bib and t-shirt. Organizers encourage themed costumes and wearing house-colored socks; prizes may be awarded for costume- or house-related categories.
Registration fee schedules are published for each event. The 5K fee increases in stages from an early rate through later dates. Kids fun run fees also increase after an early registration period.
