Black Squirrel 5K Walk/Run/Roll and 1-Mile Walk/Run/Roll
This event offers a traditional loop 5K and a 1-mile course on the Kent State University campus in Kent, Ohio. The 5K course begins and ends near the entrance to the Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center and follows campus paths including the Esplanade. The route is marked and includes a few small hills.

Registration fee tiers are provided for early and later registration. Participants registered by Sunday, Mar. 21 receive a performance race shirt. Fee examples listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 1-mile in the early tier; later entry fees are listed without a shirt. T-shirts and race bibs are available for pick-up at the Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the days indicated by the organizer.
Prizes include cash awards for overall male and female winners and medals for the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Cash awards for overall places are listed as $75 for first, $50 for second, and $25 for third. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The event will be held rain or shine, and Recreation and Wellness Services reserves the right to refuse any entry. A race course map is available online.
