Run Santa Run - Tampa
The Run Santa Run event takes place in the Seminole area of Tampa, Florida, at Walsingham Park. This themed running event features three different distances to accommodate various participant preferences:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The Half Marathon course consists of two loops of the 10K route. All distances start and finish at Pavilion #5 within Walsingham Park. The course features multiple aid stations positioned at intervals throughout the routes, specifically near the 1.5, 2, 5, 8, 11, and 11.5-mile marks, as well as at the 6.5-mile turnaround. These stations provide water, Powerade, and energy gels, with fruit available for participants at the finish line.
Participants receive Santa-themed swag, including a bib and a shirt, which must be collected during either the optional early packet pickup or on the morning of the event. The race uses electronic timing, and participants have the option to switch their registered distance by notifying the organizers before the race begins.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in various age groups ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over. A portion of the proceeds from the event is designated to benefit a local charity in the Tampa area. Parking is available for participants near the pavilion.
