About the race
Run Rockaway Beach is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Beach 94th Street on the boardwalk in Far Rockaway, NY. The organizer is Run Rockaway Beach (RTC) and Rockaway Track Club. The event date was moved from October 24 to October 31, 2026.
Two race distances are offered:
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 3.1 miles 5K
The start line and finish are on Beach 94th on the boardwalk. The half marathon is run as two loops that include a U-turn near Beach 124th and a segment to 54th Street before returning to Beach 94th. The 5K is a single loop from Beach 94th to Beach 124th and back to the Beach 94th finish.
Public parking is available in the lot on Beach 94th. Water and Gatorade will be provided at multiple aid locations along the course. Registered participants receive a T shirt and a medal. Registration opens on October 22, 2025, and closes on October 23, 2026. Published entry fees are $65.00 for the half marathon and $45.00 for the 5K.
