About the race
Run on the Runway is staged at Moraine Airpark in Moraine, Ohio, a public-use, privately owned airport. The event offers a 5K course that runs the length of the runway, portions of the taxiways, part of Wax Park, and the nearby neighborhood, plus a 1K option that traverses the runway from end to end. The atmosphere blends racing with aviation culture, with spectators able to watch airplanes take off and land from the airport’s patio or pavilion and engage with local aviation groups such as EAA Chapter 48.
Registration covers 1K for $15, 5K for $35, or both races for $40 (shirt included). Parking is at Wax Park, with timing and results post-event. Date: Oct 19, 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
