5K Run on the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Track
The 5K Run on the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Track takes place on February 26, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Florida, at North Straub Park. The event benefits the Police Athletic League and is a timed 5K open to runners and walkers.
All registered participants receive a custom chip-timed race bib, a dry-fit race shirt, a custom finisher's medal, and a voucher good for two Friday General Admission tickets to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Registration fee is $40 through 11:59pm on Wednesday, February 25, and increases to $50 on race day.
The course starts and ends on Bayshore Drive NE adjacent to North Straub Park and joins the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg race track at turn 9 on Central Avenue. The route is fully paved for the entire 5K distance. There is one water station on the course and complimentary bottled water at the finish line.
Dogs are permitted on the course but must remain leashed at all times. Strollers are permitted. Children aged 3 and under are free and do not need to register or wear a race bib. Awards include 1st Place Overall Male and Female and top male and female winners in Masters 40+ and standard age categories including 14 & under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, and 65+.
