About the race
The Run of the Mill 5K Trail Race is a 5K trail running event held on scenic trails throughout the historic Middleburg property in Huger, SC. The event uses the Middleburg property and lists the Start/Finish line at 356 Middleburg Lane, Huger, SC 29450. It is scheduled across two days, March 5–6, 2027, with early packet pick-up the day before the race and packet pick-up on race day.
Registration options include pre-registration for $45 (pre-registration ends March 5, 2027) and day-of registration for $50. Registration is non-refundable. Race shirts are only guaranteed to participants who pre-register on or before February 22, 2026. Registration includes two complimentary post-race pancakes. Guided property tours are available after the race.
All participants must sign the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating; the waiver may be printed and brought to packet pick-up or completed on site and is not included in the online registration form. Trails remain open to other runners, hikers, and bikers; participants are asked to communicate when passing. No e-bikes or other powered transportation are permitted. Events are scheduled to proceed rain or shine, and Whitewater reserves the right to alter, reschedule, or cancel events. Free parking is available onsite. Whitewater does not conduct trail rescues and participants must call 911 for emergencies. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women finishers.
