About the race

Frozen: H3 is a multi-distance trail event held in Bethera, South Carolina, on the Jericho Horse Trail within the Francis Marion National Forest. The course uses 16 and 18 mile loops of dirt fire roads, single track and double track; the 10k is an out-and-back with no aid on course. The looped format is flat and allows runners to refuel between laps.

Three fully stocked aid stations are placed on course including a main start/finish aid station offering snacks and prepared food items; two on-course aid stations will offer hot options during early morning and overnight hours. Porta potties are available at the start/finish and both aid stations. Runners must check in at each aid station and wear their bib on the front of the body. Dogs are not allowed on course per the event insurance policy.

Pacers are permitted for the 50 mile and 100 mile events at the halfway mark. Night running requires a light and appropriate spares. Runners may keep drop bags at the start/finish or at their vehicle; crew access to aid stations is allowed. Finishers who complete their event within the published cutoffs receive a wooden medal; top three male and female finishers in each distance receive awards and 100 mile finishers receive a buckle. Volunteer time can be exchanged for race entry discounts.
