The course uses two loop options of roughly 16 and 18 miles composed of dirt fire roads, single track, and double track. The terrain is flat with little elevation change. The 10k is an out-and-back with no aid on course so runners should carry needed fluids.
Three fully stocked aid stations support the races, including a main aid at the start/finish with hot and cold food options. Two on-course aid stations will have snacks and hot items during early morning and overnight hours. Porta potties are located at the start/finish and at both aid stations. Runners must check in at each aid station and wear their bib on the front of the body.
Pacers are permitted for 50 mile and 100 mile events at the halfway mark. Drop bags may be kept at the start/finish or at a vehicle and crews may meet runners at aid stations. Night runners are required to carry a light and spares. Camping at the start/finish area is allowed but is informal and consists of parking‑side camping next to vehicles.
Frozen: H3 is part of a Swamp Series spanning three events in the forest where total miles across races determine series winners. The event operates rain or shine and has a no refund policy with limited race credit options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
