Event Overview

Run of Pi is an annual running event in Houston that supports local school STEM programs. The 2026 edition takes place on February 21, 2026 at the University of Houston Downtown - Wellness and Success Center, located at 1000 Naylor St, Houston, TX 77002.

The event offers three race options:

  • 10K
  • 5K
  • Kid's Dash (1K)

All routes use a course along the bayou. The event is part of Houston Engineers Week activities, which also include the Young Engineer of the Year Awards Reception on February 23, 2026 and the Engineer of the Year Gala on February 27, 2026.

Participation, Prices, and Extras

Entry fees are listed per distance:

  • 10K: $55
  • 5K: $45
  • Kid's Dash (1K): $20

Prices increase after January 31, 2026 at 11:59 pm CST for all three distances.

Volunteers are involved in the event and receive a complimentary shirt. T-shirt sizes and sponsorship t-shirt logos are not guaranteed for registrations or sponsorships after February 2.

Participants and supporters can also engage through sponsorships that help fund STEM grants. Applications for the 2026 STEM Grant are open, with a submission deadline on February 20 at 5 pm. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
