The event is a 10 km road race held in Stamfordham that loops through the rural neighbourhoods of Dalton and Dissington. The course is largely flat with some steady inclines and an undulating profile overall, and it finishes with a downhill 1 km.
Race headquarters and registration are based at the village green and Stamfordham Cricket Pavilion. Facilities at Race HQ include bag drop, toilets, changing space and refreshments. Parking is available on the Village Green, at the cricket pavilion and at alternative locations around the village. The start line is about a 15 minute walk from registration.
The race is traffic free, uses chip timing and has distance markers every kilometre. A water station is located at 5 km. Minimum competing age is 15. Entry is limited to 300 runners and entries close on 17th June 2026. Affiliated entry fee is £22 and unaffiliated entry fee is £24; entries on the day incur an additional £5.
Awards include a finisher medal, individual trophies and vouchers for the top three men and women, team prizes for affiliated clubs, and a £50 bonus for a new course record.
