Stamfordham 10K
The Run Northumberland Stamfordham 10K is a rural road race that takes place on an undulating course through the countryside. The route consists of a loop passing through the areas of Dalton and Dissington. The terrain is described as largely flat with some steady inclines and includes a downhill section during the final kilometer leading to the finish line.
The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is chip-timed, though official race positions are determined by gun time. The course features distance markers at every kilometer and a water station located at the 5 km mark. Participation is open to runners aged 15 and over.
Race headquarters are situated at the Stamfordham Cricket Pavilion on the village green. Facilities available at the headquarters include registration, toilets, a bag drop, and changing areas. Parking is available at the cricket pavilion and around the village green. Participants should note that the start line is approximately a 15-minute walk from the registration area.
All finishers receive a medal. Individual prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, with additional trophies for the winners. Team prizes are available for the first male and female UKA Affiliated Club teams based on the finishing positions of their first three runners.
