Run Northumberland Matfen 10K 2026
The Run Northumberland Matfen 10K features an undulating road course set in the village of Matfen, Newcastle upon Tyne. The route follows country roads through the village and its outskirts, eventually finishing near Matfen Hall. The event is conducted under UK Athletics rules and is limited to 300 participants.

The course is accurately measured and uses chip timing to provide results. Participants can collect their race packs, including numbers and timing chips, from the Race HQ at the Village Hall on the morning of the event. Bag drop facilities and toilets are available at the registration site. A water station is located at the 5 km mark, and distance markers are placed at every kilometer.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Individual trophies and prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as winners in age group categories starting from W35+ and M40+. Team prizes are available for the top UKA Affiliated Club teams. According to safety regulations, runners are not permitted to use in-ear headphones, prams, or run with dogs.
