Run Northumberland Coquet 10k : 5 July 2026

The event is a 10K road race in Rothbury, Northumberland, with a hilly course on the roads of the Coquet Valley that starts and finishes in the town. The route is accurately measured and chip timing is provided by Timing4Sport. The minimum age for entry is 15. Entry is limited to 500 runners and entries close on 30 June 2026. Entry fees are listed as £23 for affiliated entries and £25 for unaffiliated entries. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and an optional race T-shirt is available for an extra cost.

Race logistics and prizes

Race headquarters and registration are at Dr Tomlinson C of E Middle School, Rothbury. Registration and bag drop are at Race HQ; toilets are available at registration and the finish. Distance markers appear every 1 km and there is a water station at 5 km. Parking is available at the Auction Mart or a car park near the finish. The event follows UK Athletics rules; team scoring follows UKA procedures and club runners must wear official club vests to count for team prizes. Individual prizes include trophies and vouchers for the first three male and female finishers and vouchers for 1st to 3rd places as stated. The 10K guideline cut-off time is 1 hour 30 minutes.
