Run Minden on Main takes place on June 13, 2026, in downtown Minden, Louisiana, at 509 Main St. The event includes a 5K race (3.1 miles) through the city center.
The event features a large awards stage with a DJ, fireworks, and visible community support along the course. Along the route there are water sprinklers, popsicles, music, ice cold cooling rags, and cheering spectators. The tagline for the event is "Where the Party Meets the Pavement."
Post-race activities are concentrated near the start and finish. Grilling on Main offers BBQ tasting from local competitors and the Farmers Market is within walking distance. Family oriented extras include face painting for kids and a station to turn finisher medals into magnets.
Participants receive event swag including a tech tank in male and female styles, a drawstring backpack, bib pins and additional items. Awards and extras noted by the organizer include Most Patriotic Dressed Male and Female, two tasting wristbands for Grilling on Main, overall male and female winners with cash prizes, age group awards, custom running hats donated by the Minden Run Club, and finisher medals for the first 200 finishers.
