Event overview
The Geaux Wild Ultra takes place Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Lake Bistineau State Park in Doyline, Louisiana. Distances offered include:
- 100 Miler
- 50 Miler
- 50K
The event is in its second year and adds a new 100-mile distance for 2026. Registration closes March 4.
Course and aid stations
The race uses a 10-mile loop that combines the Blue Wing, Koasati, and Whoa Mule trails. The course is mostly flat with minimal elevation and features muddy sections, tree roots, and natural trail surfaces typical of Louisiana State Park trails. There are two aid stations: a main staffed station at the start/finish area offering hot food and trail snacks, and a second unmanned station around mile 5 supplying water, snacks, ice, and electrolytes.
Logistics, swag, and awards
Lodging is available at Lake Bistineau State Park, which lists premium and improved campsites with water and electrical hookups. Swag differs by distance: the 50K and 50M receive a T-shirt, speed cup, waist belt pack, and neck gaiters; the 100M also receives a jacket. Awards include finisher medals for the 50K and 50M, custom medals for the top three male and female finishers on each distance, and a buckle for the 100-miler. Race-day food and a finish meal are provided, with vegan options noted. Discount codes are offered for military, donors, and first responders.
