Event Overview
The Geaux Wild Ultra is an ultrarunning event offering distances of 100 miles, 50 miles, and 50K. It takes place at Lake Bistineau State Park in Doyline, Louisiana.
Course Details
The course consists of a 10-mile loop combining the Blue Wing, Koasati, and Whoa Mule trails. The terrain features classic Louisiana State Park trails with flat, minimally elevated paths, muddy sections, tree roots, and natural surfaces. The event includes two aid stations. The main one at the Start/Finish area offers hot food and trail snacks. An unmanned station near mile 5 provides water, snacks, ice, and electrolytes.
Participant Information
- 100 Miler: Includes a finisher's buckle.
- 50 Miler & 50K: Include a finisher's medal.
- Top three male and female finishers in each distance receive a custom medal.
Swag & Deadlines
Participants receive different items based on their chosen distance.
- For the 50K and 50 Miler: T-shirt, speed cup, waist belt pack, and neck gaiters.
- For the 100 Miler: T-shirt, speed cup, waist belt pack, neck gaiters, and a jacket. A deadline exists to guarantee receiving these items on race day.
Venue & Amenities
Lake Bistineau State Park offers recreational facilities, hiking and biking trails, camping, cabins, and fishing. The park has numerous picnic sites with tables and grills, as well as pavilions for groups.
Additional Notes
