Geaux Wild Ultra
Geaux Wild Ultra is scheduled for March 6, 2027 at Lake Bistineau State Park in Doyline, Louisiana. The event is organized by BTR and returns for its third year, using a 5-mile loop that combines the Pintail, Willis-Homestead, and Koasati Trails.
Distances offered:
- 100 Miler: 20 full loops
- 50 Miler: 10 full loops
- 50K: 6 full loops plus 1 mini loop
The course follows classic Louisiana State Park trail terrain: mostly flat with minimal elevation, natural trail surfaces, muddy sections, and tree roots. The Start/Finish and main aid station are located at Pavilion 1 at the Boat Launch. The main aid station will offer hot food, trail snacks, water, ice, electrolytes, soda, and other fuel. An unmanned aid station around mile 2–3 will provide water, snacks, ice, and electrolytes.
Pacers are permitted for all distances with specific entry points: for the 50K after three completed loops, for the 50 Miler after five completed loops, and for the 100 Miler after ten completed loops. Pacers may use all aid stations.
All participants receive a Dri-Fit race shirt, speed cup, and bib belt; 100 mile entrants receive a 100 mile jacket. Awards include finisher medals for the 50K and 50 Mile, and a finisher buckle for the 100 Mile. Packet pickup is scheduled Friday at the race location and early Saturday morning at the race site. Swag ordered by February 14 is guaranteed for Race Day; later orders may arrive after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
