Geaux Wild Ultra

Geaux Wild Ultra takes place March 6, 2027 in Doyline, Louisiana at Lake Bistineau State Park. The event is organized by BTR and uses a 5-mile loop that combines the Pintail, Willis-Homestead, and Koasati Trails.

Distances

• 100 Miler: 20 full loops
• 50 Miler: 10 full loops
• 50K: 6 full loops plus one mini loop

There are two aid station types on course. The main Start/Finish aid station will offer hot food, trail snacks, water, ice, electrolytes, soda, and other fueling options. An unmanned station around mile 2–3 will provide water, snacks, ice, and electrolytes. Pacers are permitted for all distances once runners complete specified loops and may use all aid stations.

The course follows typical Louisiana state park trail terrain: mostly flat with minimal elevation, natural trail surfaces, muddy sections, and tree roots. The Start/Finish area is at Pavilion 1 at the Boat Launch.

Lake Bistineau State Park features cabins, campsites, picnic pavilions, two boat launches, nearly 10 miles of woodland trails, and an 11-mile canoe trail. On-site lodging includes premium and improved campsites with water and electrical hookups.

All participants receive a moisture-wicking race shirt, speed cup, and bib belt; 100 mile entrants receive a 100 mile jacket. Awards include finisher medals for 50K and 50M, finisher buckles for 100M, and top awards presented by Richter’s Design. T-shirt, jacket and swag deadline is February 14; items ordered after that date may arrive after the event. Packet pickup is available at the race location on the Friday before the event and on race morning. Discounts are available for military, donors, and first responders and require proof within 24 hours of registration.

Race day food at the Start/Finish area includes a variety of items and the finish line meal will be red beans and rice with vegan options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
