About the race
The Run Media City 5k & 10k is an evening road race held in MediaCity UK, Salford, with both 5k and 10k distance options. The course uses a 2.5km loop around Media City, starting and finishing at Media City Piazza, and runs on tarmac and paved paths. The route crosses the Millennium Bridge, passes the Imperial War Museum, and runs alongside the ITV and BBC television studios.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post race goodies and a bag drop. Water is available at every 2.5km and there is a two hour cut off for the event. Minimum age limits apply: 11 for the 5k and 15 for the 10k. Race pack collection and a secure baggage marquee are provided at the event village. Spectators may use the event village area; dogs are allowed in the village if kept on a lead but running with a dog is not permitted.
