Run Media City 5k & 10k
Run Media City takes place on 29 July 2027 at MediaCity UK, Salford, with the start and finish in Media City Piazza. The event offers timed 5K and 10K options on a looped course around the waterfront.

The route uses tarmac and paved paths on a flat 2.5 km loop that passes the Millennium Bridge, the Imperial War Museum and the nearby ITV and BBC studios. Each lap includes marked kilometre flags and marshals positioned around the course. Water stations are provided on the course and at the finish, with stations passed on each lap.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results, post race goodies and a secure bag drop. The event village offers food and drink options and partner giveaways. There is no specific event parking; nearby Media City and Lowry Outlet multi storey car parks serve the area. Public transport access includes the Media City Metrolink station adjacent to the event village and the Imperial War Museum station within a short walk.
A two hour cut off applies to this evening event. Minimum age limits are 11 for the 5K and 15 for the 10K. Buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome; running with dogs is not permitted, though dogs on a lead are allowed in the event village.
