Run Media City 5k & 10k
Run Media City takes place on Thursday 29 April 2027 at MediaCity UK in Salford. The event offers timed chip results and a themed finishers' medal, with free race photos, post-race goodies and a secure bag drop.
Runners start and finish in Media City Piazza and follow a 2.5 km loop through Media City UK. The route runs over the Millennium Bridge, past the Imperial War Museum and alongside the ITV and BBC television studios. The course is flat and uses tarmac and paved paths.

There is a two hour cut-off for the event. Minimum ages are 11 for the 5 km and 15 for the 10 km. Water is provided on the course and is available on each lap. Race packs are collected from the event village on the day and there are portable toilets within the village area.
The event village includes food and drink options and partner giveaways at the finish. Spectators are welcome and are advised to remain in the event village to see the start and finish. Buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome on the course. Running with a dog is not permitted but dogs on a lead are allowed in the event village.
