Coastal California Running Event
Run Malibu offers a weekend of athletic events set against the natural scenery of the California coastline. The event provides multiple participation options including a half marathon, a 5K, and a dedicated run for children. Participants can also choose a combo challenge to complete both primary race distances.
The Half Marathon features a new course that begins at the California State University Channel Islands campus. The route leads runners through the Santa Monica Mountains before reaching the Pacific Coast Highway. The final stretch follows the shoreline south toward Thornhill Broome Beach, concluding just north of Mugu Rock. This course provides views of both the mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
The CSU Dolphin 5K takes place on the campus of California State University Channel Islands. This course is designed to be fast and utilizes smooth roads within the university grounds.

Participants in the half marathon and 5K receive an event t-shirt and a finisher medal. Those who complete the combo challenge are awarded three medals. The event also maintains a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu, with a portion of registration fees going toward local youth and family support programs.
