Truro Half Marathon 2026
The Truro Half Marathon is a road-based half marathon that includes occasional off-road sections. The course begins with a loop of Truro city centre and then runs out to Porth Kea, Playing Place and Cowlands. The route includes a few hills and is not described as completely flat.
Entries open on 18 May 2026 and close on 12 September 2026. Minimum age is 17 on the event date. Entry fees are listed for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, with higher rates applying from 1 September 2026. Entry is managed through the SiEntries system and on-the-day entries are not available.
The race is chip timed, with official results based on gun time. Team prizes are awarded using the first six finishers from each affiliated club. The event runs under an ARC permit and is covered by ARC and UKA insurance.
Course logistics: the route is fully signposted and supported by about 50 marshals. Several water stations are provided; participants are welcome to bring reusable race cups. A bag drop is available at the entrance to the Pannier Market on Lemon Quay but is unsecured and used at participants' own risk. The first loop and the finish are on closed roads; most of the remainder is on open but quiet rural roads. There is parking in and around Truro city centre with most car parks within a short walk of Race HQ.
No refunds are offered. Transfers to another runner and deferrals for one year are permitted via the entry system up to 11 September 2026; no transfers or deferrals are possible after that date because race numbers and timing tags will have been prepared.
The event forms part of the Cornwall GP series 2026, sponsored by Cornwall Glass. Weekend activity associated with the event includes the nearby Trelissick parkrun on the Saturday. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
