Run Like an Animal 5k and 1 mile walk
Run Like an Animal is a community event held in Hermitage, Pennsylvania at 3182 Innovation Way. The program includes in-person races and a virtual option with the following distances:
- 5K road race
- 1 mile walk
- 5K virtual race with mailed finisher items
Registration opens January 2, 2026 and closes June 14, 2026. Fees listed by event are $25 for the 5K, $20 for the 1 mile walk, and $30 for the 5K virtual entry. Registration is located at the back parking lot of Linden Pointe.
Amenities and services include a porta john near registration and another halfway along the course, water and food such as fruit salad and cookies, and chip timing with live posting of results. Virtual entrants receive a Run Like an Animal finisher medal and mailed entry gifts that include the event shirt. The event will distribute newly designed shirts for this year.
Awards are presented for runners and for pets. Each pet finisher receives a dog treat as a finisher award. Top finishers in age groups receive awards for first through third places, with a special award for the top overall male and female and $50 prize money for each top overall finisher.
