Run Like an Animal 5k and 1 mile walk
Run Like an Animal is scheduled for June 21, 2026 at 3182 Innovation Way, Hermitage, PA 16148. The event includes in-person and virtual options and is the fifth race of the Miles of Smiles race series. Registration is held at the back parking lot of Linden Pointe.
Distances offered:
- 5 km road race
- 1 mile walk
- 5 km virtual option with mailed finisher medal and entry gift
Fees listed by the organizer are $25 for the 5k, $20 for the 1 mile walk, and $30 for the 5k virtual. Registration windows differ by event; the in-person events close in mid June and the virtual entry remains open through race day.
Amenities and event operations include chip timing with immediate posting of results, water on course, and food such as fruit salad and cookies. A porta john will be available near registration and at the midpoint of the course. Shirts are provided; the organizer notes a shortage of new 2026 XL shirts and that older or alternative XL shirts are being given instead.
Awards and prizes are provided for runners and pets. Each pet receives a finisher treat. Trophies go to top finishers by age group for males and females, with additional 2nd and 3rd place age-group awards and a $50 prize for the overall top male and female.
