Run Like an Animal 5k and 1 mile walk
This event in Hermitage, Pennsylvania on June 21, 2026, includes in-person and virtual options and directs proceeds to a local animal shelter. Registration takes place at the back parking lot of Linden Pointe, 3182 Innovation Way, Hermitage PA 16148. A porta john will be available near registration and at the midpoint of the course.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5k road race, chip timed
- 1 Mile Walk in person, no runner awards except for dogs
- 5k Virtual option for participants who cannot attend in person
Registration opens January 2, 2026 and closes June 20, 2026. Fees listed for the events are $25 for the 5k, $20 for the 1 Mile Walk, and $30 for the 5k Virtual.
Awards are available for both pets and runners. Each pet receives a finisher dog treat. First place in each age group for male and female receives a stuffed teddy bear. Additional awards are given for second and third places in age groups, and there is prize money for the overall top male and female. Chip timing is used and results are posted immediately so awards can be presented during the event.
