Event Details
The Chilly Cheeks Christmas 5K is an event in its third year. It takes place in Buhl Park in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, which is filled with Christmas trees and lights. The event supports PACFI (the Pennsylvania Community Food Initiative).

Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5k - An in-person run or walk.
- Virtual 5k
Event Features
The course goes through Buhl Park, allowing participants to view the park's Christmas light display. Walkers are welcome. There is prize money for the overall male and female winners.
A costume contest offers awards for the jolliest costume (male and female) and the jolliest couple or group costume. Gift baskets are given to costume contest winners.
All finishers receive a homemade wooden Christmas tree ornament. Age group award winners receive Christmas-themed medals, with categories in five-year increments from 1-14 to 75+. Optional event t-shirts are available for an extra fee.
Post-race refreshments include Christmas cookies and hot chocolate, served in the park's Casino building after the finish.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available at two locations and times:
- At Hermitage Agway (4065 E State St, Hermitage) on the Saturday before the event.
- At the Buhl Park Casino building on race day, starting several hours before the event begins.
