Run Like a King 5K 2026
Run Like a King 5K is the second annual community event held on October 24, 2026 at The Park at 4th (Univest Performance Center) in Quakertown, PA. The event is rain or shine and brings local fire departments and law enforcement to the site in recognition of Fire Safety Awareness Month. It is organized by the King Family Memorial Foundation to raise funds after a tragic house fire in Quakertown on Christmas morning 2021.
The foundation’s stated mission is to provide assistance to people who have lost spouses, parents, children, or siblings to house fires, to help those who have lost their homes, to educate children about fire safety, and to offer financial support to local fire departments while supporting survivors and honoring those who died.
Event offerings include the following distances and formats:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile All Age Stroll
- 1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run
On race day there will be packet pickup and race morning registration, water stations on course and at the finish, a finisher medal for 5K participants, vendors, a kids zone with activities, local fire prevention information, refreshments, and restroom facilities. Free parking is available at specific lots; portions of downtown streets will be closed so attendees should plan travel accordingly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
