Run High Bridge 5k
The annual Run High Bridge 5k is presented by the Cumberland Education Foundation. The event takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
The 5k course is an out-and-back run that starts at the Camp Paradise entrance of the High Bridge Trail State Park. The route includes a crossing of the High Bridge. The start and finish location is at 1466 Camp Paradise Road in Rice, Virginia. Parking at the race site costs $5.00.
Registration fees vary: $25 through February 19, $30 from February 20 to March 12, and $35 for packet pickup on March 13 and race day registration on March 14. A family and friends discount of $2.00 per entry is available for groups of four or more registered together through March 1. Registration remains open on race day, but there is no paper registration.
Participants registered by February 23 are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Packet pickup is available on Friday, March 13 at the Southside Virginia Family YMCA in Farmville, and on race day from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM at High Bridge Station.
Strollers are allowed, with specific guidelines for walkers and runners. Pets are not permitted. All finishers receive a finisher coin. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top Masters (40+) male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in various age categories. The event is timed by Riverside Runners.
