The races are chip timed and each kilometre on course is marked with distance flags. Marshals are positioned along the route to guide participants and provide encouragement. The course runs on the paths inside Heaton Park.
An event village will operate at the venue with food and drink options and partner giveaways available at the finish line. Finishers receive a themed Heaton Park medal. An event t shirt can be purchased as part of entry at a discount of more than 30 percent through the organiser's kit partner.
