Hatteras Village Fishy 5K
The Fishy 5K is a community road race held in Hatteras Village on September 19, 2026. The course runs through village streets and features gentle, flat terrain with scenic views of historic homes, maritime landscapes, and nearby waters. The event takes place early in the morning before Day at the Docks activities begin.
This is not a chip timed race. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each of these categories: men, women, and youth. Strollers and dogs are allowed to start at the end of the pack.
Registration opens June 16, 2026 and closes September 18, 2026. The registration fee is $40.00. In case of cancellation there is no refund; registrants will receive their T-shirt if possible.
The race supports missions of the HUMC, including free winter meals, Hatteras Community Preschool, the Hatteras Island Angel Gift Christmas Program, the Day at the Docks celebration, and supplies for a Costa Rica mission trip.
