Run Gatwick Half Marathon & 5k
Run Gatwick takes place in Crawley, featuring a course that runs beneath the flight path of the UK's second largest airport. Participants can choose between two different distances, both held on fully closed roads with a tarmac surface:
- Half Marathon (65m elevation gain)
- 5k (27m elevation gain)
The event begins in the heart of Crawley town centre on Southgate Avenue. The route provides a backdrop of aviation-inspired scenery with aircraft flying overhead. To ensure a smooth flow of participants, the event utilizes staggered starts. Each kilometre of the course is accurately marked with distance flags, and marshals are positioned along the track to assist runners.
Participants have access to well-stocked water stations and on-course facilities during the race. All entries include chip-timed results, free professional race photos, and a unique themed medal upon completion. Post-race goodies are available at the finish line.
