Run From Prostate Cancer 5K Walk/Run (Tour de 63rd Street)
The event is the 10th annual 5K Walk/Run held at the South Side YMCA. It welcomes walkers and runners of all paces and formats the course as a community-focused 5K, with registration options that include an elite division.
On race day there is a post-celebration where participants can relax, connect, and mark their 5K accomplishment. The event features local vendors, including Garden of Earth and a farmers market, plus arts, crafts, and games aimed at youth. A Health and Wellness Lounge is available and free prostate antigen screenings (PSA) are offered.
Participants receive a T-shirt, bib, raffle ticket, and hydration provided by Electrolit at check in. Raffles are organized with local partners including Muffy's Lounge and Components. Finish line medals and a photo experience are provided for finishers.
The elite division carries cash prizes: first place $1,500 plus dinner for two, second place $1,000, and third place $500; registration is required for the elite division. The event presents multiple community and health-oriented elements alongside the 5K distance and finish awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
