Run Forest Run 5k : Seattle

Run Forest Run 5k is a themed 5 km road run held around Green Lake Park in Seattle. The event takes place on the east side of the Green Lake Community Center with the start and finish located outside the center. The run is presented in the spirit of the film Forrest Gump; costumes are encouraged and participants wearing Forrest Gump costumes are allowed to start at the front of the field.

Event amenities listed by the organizer include a custom finisher medal made from reclaimed wood, free professional race photos, a long sleeve shirt with guaranteed sizes and availability date of 1/5/26, a free bag for those registered by 1/5/26, assorted swag while supplies last, photo backdrops and other fun photo opportunities, and finish line refreshments and goodies.

A course map is provided by the organizer for the Green Lake route. A portion of event proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The organizer describes the wooden medals as produced by Ridgeway Woodworks from reclaimed wood as part of a waste reduction approach.
