The Run For Your Life 5k
The Run for Your Life 5k is an interactive themed event held at Fairborn Community Park in Fairborn, Ohio. This event combines a running race with a game of survival, where participants navigate a course while interacting with actors portrayng the undead. The primary distance offered is:

Participants have the choice to register for different roles. Those registered as survivors run the 3.1 mile course wearing a flag football belt. The route contains marked "infected zones" where zombies attempt to pull flags from the runners' belts. Reaching the finish line safe zone with all flags intact results in survivors successfully completing the challenge, while those who lose flags are classified as infected. All runners receive a finisher medal regardless of their survival status in the game.
Alternatively, individuals can participate in the zombie experience. These participants do not run the full course but are stationed within the designated infected zones to capture flags from the survivors. This role includes a t-shirt, and participants are encouraged to wear creative costumes and makeup.
