About the race
Run For Your Life is an interactive running event in Fairborn, Ohio, on 10/03/2026 that includes multiple race distances and a separate Zombie Experience at Fairborn Community Park. The event uses a game format that separates participants into Survivor and Zombie roles.
Distances offered:

- 3.1 miles (5K)
- 6.2 miles (10K)
- 9.3 miles (15K)
Survivors run the course wearing a flag football belt. The route includes clearly marked infected zones where Zombies may attempt to capture flags. If a Survivor reaches the finish with all flags intact, they are recorded as surviving; losing one or more flags indicates infection while the participant still completes the course. All runners receive a finisher medal regardless of flag status.
Zombies remain within designated infected zones rather than running the full course. The Zombie Experience, held at Fairborn Community Park, describes limited zombie slots, a complimentary T-shirt for zombie participants, and encourages costumes and creative looks. Event materials note that zombies will chase survivors through wooded areas and try to steal flags, and that zombies are restricted to infected zones to help maintain safety.
