RUN FAR program
RUN FAR is a 24-week training program offered across summer and fall 2026 at RFYL Midtown, Piper Glen, and University locations in Charlotte, NC. The program groups participants by similar abilities and goals.
The weekly training schedule features three distinct workouts focused on pacing and endurance. Workouts include interval training (speed), tempo runs (pace), hill running (strength), and progressively longer long runs (endurance). The plan also includes rest days and cross training as part of the weekly structure.
The program provides two training pathway options:
- Half marathon
- Full marathon
There is a Beginner option that provides a training plan for first-time half marathoners and first-time marathoners. There is an Intermediate/Maintenance option for participants who have already completed half or full marathon distances and who are training again for those distances.
Registration details vary by site and membership status. Registration opens 2026-03-19. New member registration fees are listed at $190.00 and returning member fees at $160.00. Closing dates differ by category and location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
