Run for Windsor : event description
The event takes place on September 19, 2026 at Malden Park in Windsor and supports the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation. Funds raised are directed toward enhancing care at Windsor Regional Hospital.
The race course passes through open fields, wooded trails, lookout points and ponds. Two water stations are provided along the longer route. The event includes two distance options:
- 5 km run passing ponds, wooded areas and scenic viewpoints with two water stations
- 1 km loop near the Visitor Centre suitable for children and families
Organizers list a fundraising target of 50,000 dollars. The event relies on volunteers and records over 500 volunteer hours, attracts over 1,000 participants and involves more than ten sponsors. Volunteers receive a free T-shirt, a certificate of appreciation and community service hour credit.
