Windsor Waterfront Half Marathon and 5K : Overview
The Windsor Waterfront Half Marathon and 5K take place on September 13, 2026 in Windsor, Ontario, with the event base near Riverside Drive and Festival Plaza. Both the half marathon and the 5 km courses are certified by Athletics Canada and are chip timed.

The start is located in front of Caesars Windsor. The route is an out and back along Riverside Drive, closed to traffic for the event, passing waterfront parks with views of the Detroit skyline. Runners pass the Hiram Walker distillery, run under the Ambassador Bridge and continue into the historic Sandwich area. Turn around points include music and spectator zones, and runners encounter other participants on the opposite side of the road.
Race packets include a custom Windsor Waterfront T shirt and sponsored items. Finishers receive a 4 inch medal. Aid stations are placed approximately every 2.5 km and offer water and Skratch hydration or energy products depending on the station. Packet pickup is scheduled at Walkerville Brewery on the three days before race day. Multiple downtown parking garages and street parking options are available near the festival area, and discounted hotel room blocks have been arranged for nights surrounding the event.
