Windsor Waterfront Half Marathon and 5 km
The event offers two certified distances by Athletics Canada: a half marathon and a 5 km. The course is timed and laid out as an out and back along Riverside Drive with views of the Detroit skyline and Windsor waterfront parks.

The start location is in front of Caesars Windsor. The route passes the Hiram Walker distillery, runs under the Ambassador Bridge into historic Sandwich, and includes two turn around points with spectators and music. Runners cross paths on the opposite side of the road, and the final approach features a short downhill into the finish and festival plaza.
Aid stations are approximately 2.5 km apart. Supplies vary by station and include water, Skratch Hydration Mix, and Skratch Energy Chews according to the listed locations. Participants receive a custom Windsor Waterfront T shirt in their race packet. Finishers receive a custom 4 inch medal at the finish line. Food and refreshments will be available at Festival Plaza and food trucks will be on site during the awards period.
Race packet pickup is at Walkerville Brewery on Thursday September 10 2026 4pm to 9pm, Friday September 11 2026 4pm to 9pm, and Saturday September 12 2026 11am to 5pm. No race day packet pickup is available. The event provides discounted hotel room blocks within a short walk of the start for the nights of September 11 to 13 2026.
