Windsor Waterfront Half Marathon & 5K
The Windsor Waterfront Half Marathon and 5 km take place in Windsor, Ontario at 340 Riverside Drive, East Windsor, on September 13, 2026. The event uses an out-and-back, timed course along Riverside Drive that is certified by Athletics Canada and that will be closed to traffic for the race.
The course runs past waterfront parks and landmarks. Runners start in front of Caesars Windsor and will see the Detroit skyline to their left early in the route. The route passes the Hiram Walker distillery, goes beneath the Ambassador Bridge into historic Sandwich, and includes two music-filled turnaround points where spectators gather. The final approach features a downhill into the finish area and Festival Plaza.
Each race packet includes a custom Windsor Waterfront T-shirt and sponsored items. Finishers receive a 4 inch medal. Food and refreshments will be available at Festival Plaza and food trucks will be onsite. Aid stations are positioned approximately every 2.5 km and will provide water; several stations will also offer Skratch hydration mix or energy chews.
Race packet pickup is at Walkerville Brewery on September 10, 11 and 12 with scheduled pickup times. Host hotels have discounted room blocks within a five minute walk of the start line for nights of September 11 to 13 with a reservation deadline of August 20, 2026.
