Seize the Day Windsor : 10th Anniversary
Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario is holding the 10th annual Seize the Day event in Windsor on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Vollmer Recreation Park / Vollmer Culture & Recreation Complex. The event is described as family-friendly and offers an in-person walk and run alongside a virtual participation option.
All funds raised will directly support programs and services for people living with epilepsy, their families, and communities across Southwestern Ontario. The venue includes a pavilion, trails for the walk and run, an accessible playground, and splash pad access subject to weather. Some trails are gravel rather than paved; the site is flat and described as accessible.
The Whamburg Food Truck will be on site for post-event food service. Organizers are not providing Seize the Day T-shirts this year; participants are asked to wear purple or previous Seize the Day shirts to show support.
A virtual run/walk option allows participants to complete their chosen distance from any location. Participants may complete the virtual 2.5K or 5K between September 28 and 29 and submit results for a participant certificate.
