10th Annual Seize the Day - Windsor
Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario presents the 10th Annual Seize the Day in Windsor on September 12, 2026, at the Vollmer Culture & Recreation Complex. The event raises funds to support programs and services for people living with epilepsy, their families, and communities across Southwestern Ontario.
Available participation options include:
- 5 km run
- 2.5 km walk
The venue is a park with a pavilion and trails, an accessibility playground, and a splash pad depending on weather. Some trails are gravel rather than paved, but the route is described as flat and accessible.
A virtual run/walk option allows participants to complete their route from any location and submit results by September 19. Organizers are not providing Seize the Day shirts this year; participants are encouraged to wear purple or previous event shirts.
In-person registration requires a fee; children under 12 may participate in person at no cost. Virtual participation is free. Offline donations by cash or cheque are accepted, and cheques should be made payable to Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario.
