Run for Wes : Morgantown, WV
Run for Wes is a community 5K event held in Morgantown, West Virginia on October 10, 2026. The event uses a paved rail trail for a simple out and back course that leads toward the Core Arboretum for approximately 1.5 miles before turning around and returning to the finish.
Proceeds from the event will support a local family affected by a bicycling accident that resulted in a life changing injury. Funds are intended to help with meals, bills, and other needs as the family adjusts to new circumstances.

- 5K on-course run or walk
- 5K virtual option to support the fundraising effort
Course and event notes: dogs are not permitted during the race. The first 70 registered participants will receive a t-shirt, including children. Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female finishers in the 5K. Packet pick-up is available on race morning. Registration is available both online and in person; online registrations are nonrefundable. Parking is available in the Seneca Center parking lot; parking in the garage under the Seneca Village Apartments is reserved for residents only.
