Miles for Migraine - West Virginia 2026
The seventh annual Miles for Migraine event takes place at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park in Morgantown. This fundraiser supports migraine and headache awareness, treatment, and research. The gathered funds benefit various programs and services, including local research and fellowship training at the West Virginia University Headache Center.
The event features several participation options:
- 5K Run
- 2 Mile Walk
- Relax
The 5K course is professionally chip-timed, and awards are presented to the first-place overall male, female, and non-binary finishers. The 2 Mile walk is an untimed activity where participants may turn around at any point. For those who prefer not to run or walk, a "Relax" option provides access to a dedicated tent with seating and activities like coloring, allowing people to engage with the community and listen to speakers in the festival area.
All participants who finish the walk or run receive a finisher medal. There is a festival area where guests can visit sponsors and interact with the local headache community. Participants are also encouraged to wear purple attire for the chance to receive a prize. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option is available which includes a participant shirt and medal.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for the day before the event at a designated location and on the morning of the event at the park site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
