Run for Veterans 2026
Cross the Line Foundation presents the sixth annual Run for Veterans, a community 5 kilometer event in Fernandina Beach, Florida on November 7, 2026. The course is an out and back 5 kilometer route that starts and finishes at the Veterans Memorial in Central Park on Atlantic Boulevard.
The route follows local streets and passes through the Atlantic Recreation Center parking lot, where a water station is located under a large tree. The course continues along Atlantic Avenue and uses South 11th Street, South 13th Street, and Cedar Street before returning to the start area.
Race services include timing by Milestone Race Authority and packet pick-up the day before at Game Changers Running Company on 14th Street in Fernandina Beach or the morning of the event at the run site. All participants receive a Cross the Line shirt highlighting the six branches of service: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force. Prizes supplied by Game Changers Running Company will go to the first three male and female finishers, and medals will be awarded to top finishers in each age group.
Registration opens in August through the event registration portals identified by the organizer. Proceeds from the run are directed to a select veteran or a Gold Star veteran family from Nassau County. Volunteer inquiries are handled by Cross the Line board members.
