About the race
Run For Us 5K is the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival annual 5K run-walk for health and wellness. The event takes place on February 7, 2027 at Al Lopez Park, 4810 N Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33614. The course is a professionally timed 3.1 mile run/walk and finishers receive a medal. Paid registration includes a participant shirt, race bib, and finisher's medal.
There is a no-shirt registration option, and separate shirt purchases are available. Kids under 12 may register for free but must be accompanied by a registered adult; free registrants are not eligible to receive shirts. The event notes that shirt sizes chosen after January 15, 2026 are not guaranteed and are allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Packet pickup is available before the race at Fit2Run, International Plaza & Bay Street, 2223 N Westshore Blvd, Tampa, FL 33607.
Race day packet pickup is handled at the Fit2Time Race Management tent. Participants must wear their bib on the front of their shirt so times are recorded. Strollers and dogs are permitted; strollers should keep the child seated, and dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. Results are available via a QR code on the bib and by email once times are verified.
Organizers may cancel the event for severe weather or safety reasons; registrations cancelled due to such conditions will not be refunded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
