Run For Us 5K
Run For Us 5K is the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival annual 5K run-walk held at Al Lopez Park in Tampa on February 7, 2026. The event is presented by Publix and is organized as a professionally timed 3.1 mile run/walk.
Registration options include in-person 5K entries, a virtual 5K, a youth 5K for ages 12-17, a free registration option for children under 12 (must be accompanied by a registered adult; free registrants do not receive shirts), and a no-shirt registration option. In-person registration typically includes a participant shirt, race bib, and finisher’s medal. Virtual packets, shipped to participants, include a shirt, medal, and souvenir bib; virtual participants are not eligible for awards.
Packet pickup is scheduled before race day at Fit2Run, International Plaza & Bay Street, Tampa. Race day packet pickup is also available at the event site; participants should look for the Fit2Time Race Management tent for assistance or replacement bibs. Shirt sizes chosen after January 15, 2026 are not guaranteed.
Event guidelines note that strollers and leashed dogs are permitted; participants using them should start toward the back and stay to the right side of the path. Race bibs should be worn on the front of the shirt for timing and safety. In the event of severe weather, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the event.
