Run for the Rock
Run for the Rock is a community fundraiser held by Paradise Bound Ministries on June 6, 2026, in Zeeland, Michigan. The event marks the conclusion of a month-long fundraising effort to support Refuge on the Rock, an orphanage in Guatemala that has cared for more than 150 vulnerable children since welcoming its first child in 2011. All funds raised will go directly to support the orphanage.
The event offers two distances:
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- Fun Run - 1.5 Miles
The 5K course will be timed; the Fun Run will not be timed. The 5K has multiple age group divisions separated by male and female categories: 10 & under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+. Awards will be given to the top three overall finishers for both men and women. Organizers note that the route is not USATF certified.
Registration opens on November 1, 2025 and closes on April 30, 2026. Fees are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the Fun Run. Participants who register on or before May 14 are guaranteed a shirt in their requested size; later registrations may have limited sizes. Packet pickup is available the day before and on race morning. Volunteers are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
