Run for the Rim 5k and 10K
The Run for the Rim takes place at the Pine Creek Seed Farm in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. This event is held in conjunction with the farm's annual Fall Festival and serves as a fundraiser for the Jersey Shore Boys Basketball Booster Club. The course utilizes the scenic back roads of the area, including Tiadaghton Avenue and River Road.
Participants can choose between two timed distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The 10 km route follows a loop around Tiadaghton Avenue and River Road, while the 5 km route features a shorter road section. Both distances include a unique segment that winds through the farm's corn maze before returning to the road for the final stretch to the finish line. The course is described as flat, making it suitable for those seeking a fast pace.
Hydration stations and volunteers are located along the course to support participants. Following the event, the farm hosts a festival starting at midday featuring food trucks, drink stands, local vendors, and live music. Registration by September 3 ensures the receipt of a race t-shirt. For the safety of all participants, dogs are not permitted to take part in the race.
