Event
The Frostbite 5-Mile Run & Penguin 5K Walk takes place on Sunday, December 14, 2025 in Duboistown, PA. The event is based at the Duboistown Fire Hall, 2651 Euclid Ave. Distances offered include:
- 5-Mile Run (in-person and virtual)
- 5K Walk (in-person and virtual)
Registration deadlines differ by event: in-person race registration closes December 3, 2025; virtual event registration closes December 10, 2025.
Details
All proceeds benefit Special Olympics - Lycoming County. Pre-registration by November 8, 2025 costs $35 and includes a long sleeve tech shirt; late registration is $40 and shirts are limited. Parking is available at the fire hall and nearby bank parking lots. Races are officially timed by Falcon Race Timing. Awards include top three overall male and female runners, first overall male and female walkers, and age group awards for running (14U; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+) and walking (1-39; 40-59; 60+). The course features flat sections and gradual hill climbs in the first half, with flat and downhill terrain for the final 2.2 miles. Additional race information is available from the organizer.
