Event overview
The Fire on the Rocks 10K is an intermediate level trail race held on March 14, 2026, at Zindel Park in McElhattan, Pennsylvania. The event is organized by PA Trail Dogs and is open to the first 400 runners, hikers, or walkers. Registration opens December 16, 2025. The event policy states there are no refunds, deferrals, bib transfers, or bandits.
Course and logistics
The course is described as about 6.5 to 6.6 miles in length and includes roughly 1,400 feet of climbing. The route uses local trails that are also used for the Frozen Snot and Boulder Beast races. Named segments on the course include Reservoir Road, Keller's Bench, Black Diamond, Change Up, Kammerdiner, Debbies Drop, Park Trail, Dug Rd, Gorge Trail, Gut Check, Lightning Ridge, Final Cut, Creekside, and the Durty Dabbers trail down to the finish. Parking is at the Restless Oaks parking lot, with shuttle buses to the start area or an option to walk about a half mile up Reservoir Road.
