Run for the Reef : Navarre Beach, October 9, 2027
Run for the Reef is a community running and walking event held in Navarre Beach at 8579 Gulf Blvd. The course is an out-and-back along Gulf Boulevard and Whitesands Boulevard, beginning at the Navarre Beach Boat Launch parking lot and finishing near Windjammers on the Pier.
Event distances include:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- One mile Kids Fun Run
The 10K is run only. The 5K is offered as both a run and a walk; runners may walk but walkers may not run. The Kids Fun Run is for children 12 and under, takes place at the Sea Turtle Conservation Center, and parents may accompany children. Awards are handcrafted medallions made by a local artist. Award categories include overall, masters, grand masters, senior grand masters, and age-group places for runners; walkers receive first-place awards in comparable categories. All Fun Run participants receive awards.
Practical details: there is a one-hour course time limit for the 5K and a ninety-minute limit for the 10K. Packet pick-up and on-site registration are available the day before at Windjammers on the Pier and on race day at Windjammers near the start location. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 350 registrants. Parking is in the Pier parking lot. No refunds and no pets are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
