Event overview
The Run for the Reef event takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 in Navarre, Florida (8579 Gulf Blvd, Navarre, FL 32566). The event includes multiple distances:
- 10K - 6.2 miles, out-and-back along Gulf Blvd and Whitesands Blvd.
- 5K - 3.1 miles, out-and-back along Gulf Blvd and Whitesands Blvd.
- 5K Walk
- One Mile Kids Fun Run for children 12 and under; this fun run occurs after the 5K course closes.
Registration opens January 2, 2026. Listed entry fees are $30 for the 10K, $25 for the 5K run and 5K walk, and $20 for the kids fun run. Age limits noted are 99 and under for the main events and 12 and under for the kids fun run.
Logistics and awards
Race start and packet pick-up are at the Windjammers/Sea Turtle Conservation Center area and the Navarre Beach Boat Launch parking lot on Gulf Blvd. Packet pick-up and on-site registration are available the day before the race at Windjammers on the Pier or on race day near the race start. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 350 registrants. Participants should park in the Pier parking lot. The event policy states no refunds and no pets.
Awards are handcrafted medallions by a local artist. Runner awards include overall and age-category placings by male and female divisions. Walker awards include first place male and female in overall and age categories. A post-race party and awards ceremony will be held at Windjammers with music and refreshments.
