Event overview
RUN/WALK FOR THE RARE! is presented by Haley's Heroes Foundation as the 7th annual run supporting International Batten Disease Awareness Day. The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Salem, Oregon, at 200 Water St NE, Salem, OR 97301. The race offers multiple course options and notes general rare disease statistics: 1 in 10 people have a rare disease, 50% of those are children, there are more than 7,000 known rare diseases, and an estimated 350 million people globally are diagnosed with a rare disease.

Registration and logistics
Registration fees are listed as $45 for adults and $35 for children; the fee includes a T-shirt. Additional items included with registration are a coupon for wings and fries, a coupon for ice cream, and access to a Photo Booth. Early packet pick-up is scheduled June 13, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Gallagher's Fitness, 135 Commercial St NE, Salem, OR 97301. Packet pick-up on event day begins at 9:00 am at the run.
