Run For The Oaks 5K/10K
The Run for the Oaks is a trail race event held at Left Coast Estate in Rickreall, Oregon. It is the 10th annual event and takes place on August 1st, 2026. All proceeds from the race, as well as food and wine sales for the day, support the Oak Savanna Restoration Project, which aims to restore over 100 acres of old growth oak forest into a native forest and permanent wildlife refuge.
The event offers three distances: a 10K trail run, a 5K trail run, and a 5K trail walk. The course primarily uses rolling gravel roads, with some off-road trail and paved road segments, taking participants through estate vineyards and oak savannas. The site is located on the ancestral lands of the Grand Ronde, Siletz, Yamhill, and Kalapuya peoples.
Entry includes a race T-shirt (while supplies last, with a guarantee for registrations before July 15), a GoVino wine glass, a glass of wine after the run, awards, professional chip timing, and access to hydration stations. For participants under 21, a soda is available instead of wine.
After the run, activities include wine tasting, live music, and awards in the Oak Savanna area. A wood-fired pizza oven, an outdoor wine bar, a coffee food truck, and a physical therapy booth offering recovery sessions will be available. Early packet pickup is on July 31st at the Tasting Room, with live music that evening. Race day packet pickup and day-of registration are available in the morning.
