Run for the Nun 5K
The Seton Catholic School Run for the Nun 5K is an annual running event held in Lexington, Kentucky. Established in 1990, this event marks its 36th anniversary in 2026. The race is staged from 1730 Summerhill Drive and features a course consisting of paved road surfaces.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5K Run/Walk)
- 0.33 Miles (Kids Dash)
The 3.1 Miles race is chip timed. Results for the top three male and female overall finishers are determined by gun time, while age group awards are based on chip time. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in various categories, starting at 14 and under and continuing in five-year increments up to 80 and over. There are also awards for teams.
The 0.33 Miles Kids Dash is an untimed event designed as a fun run. There are no performance awards presented for this specific distance. All registered participants receive a commemorative race T-shirt as part of their entry. Registration for both events opens in mid-March and follows a specific fee structure for each distance.
