Run for the Mums 5k
Run for the Mums is a community 5K road race in Tipp City, Ohio, organized by Tipp Monroe Community Services in conjunction with the Tipp City Mum Festival. The event supports TMCS youth recreation programs and is held at City Park, with a course that runs through Tipp City neighborhoods and along the Great Miami River Recreational Trial. The route is described as gently rolling and scenic, with a water station at the halfway mark and restrooms available at the start and finish areas. Pets and personal audio headsets are not permitted.
Registration options and fees vary by date: pre-registration postmarked by September 8 includes a t-shirt for a specified fee; a lower fee applies without a t-shirt. Registrations submitted after that date and on race day are offered at a stated fee without a t-shirt, and race day shirt purchases may incur an additional charge while quantities last. Pre-packet pickup is available at the TMCS office on specified dates prior to the race. Registrations may be completed by mail or through the organizer and timing company.
Age divisions are offered for male and female competitors across standard youth and adult brackets, and awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers plus the top three in each age division. Timing is provided by a professional timing company and results are announced and published after the race. The event proceeds fund TMCS recreational programs.
